Hello,
I've been tracking what I eat, and I have been exercising every day, but have been the same weight for 2 weeks. I'm drinking plenty of water too, but the pounds won't budge......any suggestions???

Too hard to say at this point but one thing that happens quite often is that people tend to eat a little bit more than they think.

I'd first suggest that you get a food scale and weigh your food (everything). Be very meticulous for about a week or two and see if this narrows the gap between what you're logging and what you're eating.

Not a plateau. A plateau is 6 weeks or more of no weight movement IF one is consistent with diet and exercise. Once you change something in that 6 weeks, it's removes it from plateau statis. You're experiencing a stall and normally it's because the body is adjusting since weight loss isn't linear. Continue on, but be honest with your intake.

^^^What ninerbuff said. Weight loss is not linear. I've been at this since the very end of July. Sometimes I go two or three weeks and not lose anything and suddenly I'll drop a few pounds in one. It's actually become such a notable pattern in my weight loss that I expect it and don't even get frustrated anymore when I haven't lost anything in 2 or three weeks. I've still dropped 65 pounds since I started. Be patient. Make sure you are weighing and tracking everything. The weight will come off. I use my scale many times in one day, and even many times at one meal. Make it a habit. Weigh everything...even prepackaged foods. You would be surprised how fast those few extra calories add up from foods being just a few grams over a serving size.

Don't be afraid to go against intuition at this point and do a feast. One day will not matter and that could send you on your way to losing again. Only problem of course is you might struggle with hunger for a few days. Works for me.

    hahaha

I won't lose for a week and a half and then I'll lose three pounds in two days, so it kind of is.

If you're weighing and logging accurately, give it time. In the meantime, are you taking measurements/pics?

Just pick up any food scale, they all work. I got mine for $10 at walmart.

Not sure why this works but I just did it again and started losing again.

Thanks for all the support and suggestions!!! I did end up seeing a drop in lbs after staying the same weight for 2 weeks. Unfortunately I'm impatient, and that two weeks was very frustrating. I did have what I call a free day (feast) and continued to work out.(Not sure if that's what did the trick)

It resets the basal metabolic rate - since weight loss and deprivation slows metabolism, only eating more can move the rate up - therefore giving the body the opportunity to reduce fat once intake subsides.

I see that you have already lost some weight. Have you updated your goal since you have lost weight? The more weight you lose, the fewer calories you get to eat to lose the same amount.

Also- 2 weeks is NOT a plateau.

Yep, I updated my goal as soon as I dropped some lbs!!! I'm trying not to be obsessed with the scale and weigh myself everyday....
