Hey everyone. My husband and I prepared a ton of clean eating meals on Saturday and we have been so happy we did so. It's so easy just to grab a meal! But here's my question...what's your favorite healthy, clean eating snacks? I need snacks that include a carb and protein. TIA

Great question! My favorite snacks include:
*ULTIMATE FAVORITE: place all within a blender (I use a personal one to take on the go)--banana, peanut butter powder, plain greek yogurt, milk/water, chocolate chips, raisins. Of course, the latter two are going to be minimal.
*kale salad--you can place various toppings to increase the protein intake.
*raw firm tofu garnished w/ soy sauce, crushed black pepper, and sesame oil (optional)
Best,

I like either banana or apple with peanut butter or i am a huge fan of hard boiled eggs if i am trying to keep it clean. Other wise i do protein bars....power crunch brand are my favorite.0

The answer is always steak.0

apple with peanut butter
plain yogurt mixed with a tablespoon of peanut butter or raspberries
cottage cheese0 -
Surf and turf0
-
Greek yogurt with frozen berries or air-popped popcorn with parmesan.0
-
Fruit0
-
- banana or apple with peanut butter (+ sultanas)
- fresh fruit (berries, grapes + cherries especially) + greek yoghurt (liberte lemon is my fave, but you use plain to taste)
- frozen grapes or frozen bananas, add yoghurt or peanut butter or a handful of nuts for protein
- dried fruit with nuts
dates, dried apricots and cashew nuts, pistachios, almonds, brazil nuts0 -
avocados with a little lime juice or guacamole, I like to eat the guacamole with carrots, as to avoid extra calories on chips, also in the summer i have a dessert maker (yonana, but I have a different brand) where you make frozen treats with nothing but fruit, and they have awesome recipes that come along with the machine, I also love apple chips0

Don't know what you mean by clean or how much protein is needed or the calories you are seeking, but snacks I'd eat for protein and carbs include:
Homemade trail mix of nuts and dried cherries (some protein, not a lot)
Smoked salmon and berries/apple slices
Greek yogurt, possibly with some fruit or raw veggies
Quest bar
Banana and hard boiled egg
Epic bar (this has been recommended to me but I haven't tried it yet, and I am skeptical until I do--it's jerky with dried fruit and the like).
Any mix of these things.
For snacks and protein I tend to rely heavily on yogurt in general because it's so portable and can be eaten right out of the container. If I were home I'd be likely to have cottage cheese instead. Also nuts, but as mentioned above, less protein.

sandwiches:
- whole wheat bread+ peanut butter + fresh basil + sliced strawberries
- same thing with apple slices
- whole wheat bread + mustard + 1/2 slices of lowfat ham (it's usually 98 % lean) + either apple slices, or lettuce
- whole wheat bread + mustard + sliced cooked egg + lettuce
other:
- home made granola balls. Main ingredients are oats and peanut butter, but you can add other things based on your calorie limits and taste, such as honey, homemade caramel, raisins, blueberries, protein powder, Rice Krispie, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, cinnamon, etc.
- protein bars
- homemade smoothies
- greek yoghurt
- fruit bowl (strawberry, banana, blueberry, etc topped / mixed with Greek yoghurt.
- fruit / cheese bowl: smoked Gouda cheese (1 oz) + cubed apples0 -

This is awesome I honestly never thought of making my own granola based snacks. Most contain way to much sugar. Thanks for the tip!0
