They won't tell you how many calories burned because there are too many factors involved for them to do that.

If I'm entering things like the Insanity workouts, I'd use the "calisthenics" exercise (not sure I spelled that right) and enter how many minutes. (I usually cut back on the calories burned though.)

    ok, thanks
but the other issue is I work at night with my husband. He had a janitorial service. So I'm sure that burns calories too. Mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, etc. I wanted to get a calorie counter so that I can be ad accurate as possible.

You can definitely invest in a calorie counter, just remember that they aren't 100% accurate.

If the mopping/sweeping/vacuuming is something you do all the time, I wouldn't count it. If it's something you do only occasionally than you can probably count it. (that's just my opinion though :) )

If you'd like a calorie burn estimate that runs close to your actual burn, you could purchase a heart rate monitor that counts them. You don't have to spend too much cash for the more basic ones. I have to admit, I had a reality check when I saw what I was actually burning. For me, the HIIT workouts (calisthenics, etc) are only about 10 cals per minute. Feels like more than that, haha!
