Body fat

Hiya new to all this but over the last couple of months I have put on just under a stone but according to the gym scales today I have lost 10 percent body fat !! What does that mean x thanks guys

    That gym scales can't determine body fat % accurately.

    Did you take measurements in that time? I'd true that over scales that spit out BF%.

    Not to be a Debbie downer, that seems like a great deal of BF% to lose in that time-frame with zero loss and a slight gain. Even if you were intentionally bulking and engaging in weightlifting, it seems highly unlikely.

    The body fat in those type of scales work on an electrode thingy that goes from one side of the body to the other. The quick it goes the less body fat apparently, however it's not accurate as the electrode thingy also goes faster when fully hydrated. Drink lots when you get on and the less fat up will show!
