I have never done any weights training before... It recommends on the 5x5 programme i have been looking into to train three times a week...
However, I am skint and cant afford to go to the gym three times a week.
What difference does it make if I go once a week?
Thanks
Chloe

something is always better than nothing. also, pushups and planks and squats can be done at home for free.0

how seriously do you want to train? training once a week is better then nothing, but its not optimal.
Its recommended to go three times a week because general as a beginner you will have fully recovered after two days and you are going to be at your strongest after two days . your body has recovered from the work, has adapted to the new stimulus and has super-compensated for the stimulus by adding muscle. waiting a week between training sessions will result in some de-training.0 -
I want to do it seriously I really want to get fit and tone up this year, thing is i cant afford the gym. Is there anything I can do at home if i go to the gym twice maybe?
At the moment i am doing a high intensity interval training - Metafit class twice a week
and running twice a week
I am starting a daily workout of 10mins including squats, alternate lunge jumps, press ups, 90 degree leg bend crunches, oblique press ups etc.0
