Friends & Family of the MFP Revolution...today's mini challenge for myself is EXCUSES!!! Today I will write out every excuse I have for not eating right, not exercising and not fully committing myself to change. On the other side of that list is REALITY, which is designed to seek and destroy every excuse listed. I urge you pull your excuses to the surface and destroy them one by one. That is all. So what are some of your excuses that you use?

Mine....

1. I am too tired to work out!!
2. If I eat bad today....I will just start fresh tomorrow until you are 20 lbs heavier into tomorrow.
3. I don't have the time to eat something healthy!!

Please share your excuses and lets DESTROY THEM ALL!!!

  • 1. I am too short to keep up with other people
    2. I will never get to my goal.
    3. I don't have time to take care of my health.

    my biggest excuse that from now on will be eliminated:

    I wasnt gonna eat it, but she brought it home. (thats been my excuse for eating junk foods)

    from this point forward its all about eating right junk food is minimilzed to the uttermost

    Mine...

    1. Its Raining outside.... well grab a DVD and get busy.
    2. I have errands to run... let me just grab something quick...I have extra calories today to eat back.
    3. Well I can take the day off... I've been going for 5 days straight.
    4. I am out of town....
    5. Well I've loss 9 pounds this month....I deserve a treat
    6. My show is on tv

    1) Even if I get skinny I'll still have cankles, so what's the point?
    2) No-one else cares either way, so why should I?
    3) Isn't it just vain and shallow to want to conform? Yeah - in that case feck the rules and I'll have that cake.

    Honestly, what a shambles.

    2. I'm too sick
    3. I have to take meds that make me gain, so what's the point?
    4. Nobody wants to look at me anyway.
    5. I LOVE chocolate.
    6. A Very Personal one, that has it's roots in psychology


    BUT my motto is Don't Invent Excuses Today! So I've been slowly taking them and putting them under my foot and and squashing them like the roaches they are!

    1) its been a long day, I'm tired, I will work out tomorrow.
    2)well, Mcdonald's is cheap and fast
    3)Health food doesn't taste good, so I ate pizza instead
    4)its expensive to eat healthy

    i dont have the time cause i have four kids a a business to run.. there is always time thats just me making an excuse

    if i go over a little ill just make it up tomorrow... there is no making it up and tomorrow i will prolly do the same

    well i have calories i need to make up for working out so this wont matter.... junk is junk no matter what

    i am too sore today... if i got up and got moving my body would feel better and i know that

    1) its definatly not what i eat...must be my metabolism
    2) ill start the workout again tomorrow
    3)ok ok ill start monday
    4)but were going out to dinner tonight...
    5) if i have pudding today i can burn it off tomorrow.
    6)i have a desk job, its hard for me to move around
    7)how can i cram in exercise if i have to cook and clean all the time

    geez actually writing them down really does open your eyes to the bull s*** we tell ourselves lol!

    My top excuses are too tired and no time. Both are hogwash, but they show up every day in some form.

    2.Worried I'm gonna hurt my ankle again if I try running.

    3. I am married – why do I need to look good

    1. I'll get up and workout right after this show... - I never do so do it now!
    2. Well, I already ate like crap today, what's one more thing? -It all adds up and makes me feel like crap at the end of the day

    Ok...maybe I do...

    1. I can't eat my exercise calories because I'm too full
    2. Sleep? Who needs sleep?
    3. Ugh...I'm too full to drink more water.

    1. i started today out bad so i will just restart tom

    I'm tired...I'll do it in a bit.
    I deserve a treat, I've been exercising hard
    I don't feel so good at the moment, maybe in an hour.

    I don't feel like it and my (random body part) is sore

    I feel fatter today and t's going to be too hard

    1. I am in this alone, and if no one else cares how I look then why should I? ~ I feel awful even admitting this one! :embarassed: I take it out by logging in to MFP, reminding my self it is not about how I look as much as it is about how I feel and getting winded walking up a flight of stairs is not okay.

    2. Not tonight I have a headache ... no this is not something I am used to saying :bigsmile: I at least can take time for a slow walk with a water bottle to help clear my head, and work out at the same time.

    3. I don't want to eat those calories back, so I am not going to burn them! ~ I kicked this one in the (__Y__)! I don't NEED to eat my calories back. *shrugs* People can scream and hop up and down I don't care! If a doctor says I don't need to then hey why worry about what others say? :drinker:

    4. I don't have time! ~ It is worth making time. If it is a walk or a work out time, alone or with others, time set aside for my self says I am worth it! I need to remind my self that I am worth it just as much as I tell others the same thing. :smooched:

    So that is my top four ..... :ohwell: I feel kinda sheepish for admitting it, but hey this is why we are here ah? :blushing:
