Count your calories, weigh your food, eat at a deficit.
Do a bit of cardio, lift some weight.
Keep it simple.

All of this. And don't deprive yourself of the foods you love.0 -
I've lost 10 pounds in about 10 days .I couldn't manage to lose weight before. What has been working for me :
Counting my calories
Three meals and two "snacks" in between ( smoothie, green juice, fruits) .I've thus managed to reduce my intake and it takes less food to keep me full.
I also walk again ...about 2-3 miles a day.

Calories in, calories out.
I've lost 10kgs ( 22lbs ) in 2mths doing alternate day fasting. Restricting calories every second day, instead of everyday just works better for me.0 -

Counting calories, weighing foods, adding twice the veggies I used to eat to my plate, and not stressing about getting it done now. (It took many years to put it all on, it'll take a while to get it off). 2kgs in 3 weeks so far.
I'm also just starting a workout routine (walking, yoga), getting rid of foods that make me feel like crap (dairy), and giving paleo a try to see if it'll help my tummy's sensitivity / husband's chronic fatigue.0 -

These. As for the schedule, you need to figure out what works best for your life. I'm a born night-eater and my days are sedentary, so I consume most of my calories at night. You might have active days and need the fuel then. Activities? Whatever you like/have time to do for cardio. Watch youtube videos and try what appeals to you. Strength train, even if it's just bodyweight--you will find you lose inches this way, and those are better than pounds. Food? What you like, just less of it.0 -
Watch portion size, include fresh foods, track everything you put in your mouth(EV-ER-Y-THING!!!), if you think you're hungry drink a glass of water because you're probably just thirsty.Half your plates should be veggies with little starch and a baseball sized piece of protein! Find a form of exercise you love and can do without feeling like exercise, for me that is Zumba. Sleep well at night, drink lots of water, don't weigh yourself any more than once a week because you'll slowly go insane Love yourself enough to stick to these changes. Only one person can control your health and that person is you Good luck!0

I kind of make it up as I go. I am of the opinion that there is no One, True Way to lose weight. Most of the people who say that there is One Way have something to sell you. Their product (book, service or item or pill) will be THE WAY, lol.
Only I can lose my weight. Nobody else can lose my weight for me. So, I must do what works for me. Sometimes what I do doesn't work, so I change it.0 -
Caloric Deficit.
Not other "plan" works - in fact it's quite impossible for anything else to work.0
