Hello,

I started WW in january of the year, it was my news resolution to healthy new me. I changed my eating habits and have been eating more healthy. I did by Feb 2, managed to lose 11.2pds.which was awesome, Then somehow I hit a downward spiral and gained it all back. All that hard work gone down the drain boy am I mad at myself for that. Everyday is a struggle for me and has been my whole life. My main thing is exercise and because of my back pain issues it has enabled me to get in a good workout. I am going to see a acupuncture therapist today to see if we can control the pain and get me to exercise and get this weight off. I am 50 yrs old and need to lose at least 80 pds. I know how to eat that is my problem and all about portion control and tracking and it does work. I just have to stop falling off the wagon and get going, Hopefully someone out there is struggling just like me. If so I would really like to hear from you.

There is another thread of converted WW folks floating right now. I would encourage you to read some of their posts. I am 54 and from my high point (237) to my goal I have as much or more that you have to lose. I don't deal with chronic pain issues, though I did have to had ACL surgery last year and dealing with tennis elbow now. (I refuse to think that age has ANYTHING to do with it...I can do whatever I put my mind to.)

I had great success with WW, but I wanted to be more in control of the components that go into my daily nutrition. Know that a point is a point is not good enough for me. I want the break down of carbs, proteins and fats to ensure that my balance is in place.

Best of luck on your journey. Friend me if you like.

Hello there. I'm 43 and need to lose 80lbs too. You seem to know where you're going wrong and you need to address this. Walking is the best way to lose weight. Increase the amount you do daily and the weight loss will soon follow. Having a bad back is worse when you're overweight..its a vicious circle! But exercise and portion control has helped me and I'm sure it will help you too. Good luck!!
