Yesterday was the first time that i posted on here. I got so many great words of wisdom from so many great people on the same journey as me! yet everyone else seems way more motivated than i am. Today is a new day. Today is my last day of drinking...since twisted tea is my worst enemy right now. Love the stuff but its time to get away. I am challanging myself to 1 week of not drinking starting 2moro morning when i buy my first scale and do my first weigh in.......then its time to really get on track. I have got my MP3 player with all of my music downloaded on it. I feel like for the first time i can really do this. THanks everyone for the encouragement! everyone on here is so great! would love some friends on here to do this with..feel free to add me!

p.s. anyone have any suggestions about my first video for a regular cardio workout?!?! what do YOU use??

    I started insanity this week, and I'm LOVING it!!!
    If you're looking for something a little less intense (ok, a lot less intense!) that will give great results - Denise Austin's "Burn Fat Fast", short workouts that you can mix and match. Her personality is great, motivating and her workouts easy to follow.

    congrats! deciding to do this thang is half the battle - great attitude! it's amazing what you are capable of accomplishing - you'll do wonderfully! as for workouts, i'm a big fan of power 90 (basic, boot camp style), power 90x (same people, a lot more hardcore), jillian michaels 30 day shred (an intense workout in about 20 minutes) and tae-bo (i can't do half the footwork, but it's sooo much fun!). i'm also a big zumba (latin style dance) fan. i take it at the gym, but i hear there are a lot of great zumba videos out there. have fun and good luck!

    I looove TurboJam which is cardio kickboxing. It burns a ton of calories in 20-40min workouts, and it's a lot of fun.

    As far as video is concerned, I play it in my head! All the ****ty things that happened today when I want to get my heart rate up to burn that frustration (calories) away and think about all the good stuff that happened when I want to wind down from the workout.
