Aerobic Step and Calories Burned

I didn't get to the gym today, but have an aerobic step which is 8" high.
This is on the system as "Aerobics, step, with 6-8" step", and in 45 minutes (I watch an episode of TV as I do this) MFP tells me that I burn 382 calories.
How vigorous would this have to be to burn that many? I tend to get out-of-breath, hot and sweaty, and do a step-up a second or so.
Many thanks!

did you figure out the answer? I keep shirking my runs, need something I can do in front of the tv - did you find step ups effective for fat loss and/or strength?0
