So I won't be able to go to the grocery store till this weekend, due to changing bank accounts and kind of being in "limbo" between the two. Lol. I have cash to get me some stuff I need, but what's would you suggest for a breakfast at a drive thru/restaurant? Yes, I know, as long as I like it and it fits in my macros, it's okay, but I'd love to hear some suggestions of something lower in carbs and higher in the protein!

Back in the day, my choice would have been a bojangles chicken biscuit with ketchup, some Cajun fries, and a doctor pepper. Since I've had pizza today, and I'm certainly more Conscious of what I eat, that's definitely a no no XD. Thanks in advance!!

Since you have cash to get you through, and a car to get you to a drive thru window, why can't you get to the grocery store before the weekend?

This morning I cracked 3 eggs into a hot non stick frypan, flipped once. It took less than 5 minutes. Then I measured out 150ml of milk and drank that. That took another 45 seconds. About 320 calories and 15g of protein. Quick and easy.

I don't kow about where you live, but $40 spent on fruit, vegetables, eggs, milk, bread and lean meat will feed my family of 4 for about 2 days. $40 spent at McDonalds gets us 1 pretty ordinary meal.

    Good luck today!
  • Honestly, I'd see what you can do about possibly getting grocery delivery - some eggs, milk, bread, oatmeal... I don't ever recommend drive through food.

Well, we don't have delivery for grocery in our area. Gah I wish! As far as the "main" staples, I have, was just wanting some quick ideas for a drive by breakfast, lol. I tend to skip breakfast, but I'm working on that. :/. I'll probably end up at the gas station down the road, and get an apple and cheese pack for tomorrow, now that I think of it. Under 200 calories, AND it's filling!

Skip breakfast. Your weight loss will be fine as long as you are eating less.

Some days, I do skip it, others, I don't. I do try to stay in the habit of eating a little something in the mornings, as I have a very hectic job that doesn't always allow time for lunch.

Is it just me, though, or do yall seem hungrier quicker when you do eat breakfast? Lol.
  • I'm in the same boat! Need lots more protein, little carbs & calories. I thought I was the only one that got hungrier after breakfast. At one time I never at breakfast. I do now, but it seems to get the stomach awake and it is never satisfied.

I truly believe in not eating unless you're hungry! It really sucks though, if I don't get some fuel in the morning, then I'm not allowed/have time to take a real lunch due to high patient volume, lol. It makes me want to eat allthebadfoods!

Although I don't think it should be a daily thing, I see nothing wrong with a quick drive by breakfast. Having to get up at 0500 and drive about an hour to my job site...and not being a morning person....well, I'm just as happy with that egg white delight mcmuffin without the bread as I am with something I have to prepare lol!
