can somebody explain what 'bump' or 'bumping' means on this

Hello! I'm new here and have lost 5 lbs so far. Love the site! I previously used another website, but i like this one much better...........

I've been reading alot of posts that say *bump* and i would love to know what this means!!!!!

    I just means that they are replying to that thread so it will show up in their topics list for later.

    It's a way of keeping a thread at the top of the list so it's easier to find. Also people use it as a way to bookmark threads that they want to find later.
