No, it doesn't. MFP really should have a pregnant/breastfeeding option0

I agree!!! I was looking at this and a WW app. Which does account for it. Hmmm glad this ones free. Lol0 -
I just made my own exercise entry with the appropriate calories burned. 300-400 daily.0

Breastfeeding is listed both under food (where it will add extra calories to your goal) or under exercise. You can log it in either place, but you will have to log it every day. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any setting that will do it automatically.0

Log it. Lol. You can go to Kellymom.com and look at how many calories you're probably burning depending on the age of your nursling and then create an exercise entry. That's what I did. The breastfeeding entries in there at the time didn't have anything accounting for toddlers (you obviously burn fewer calories then)0

I wouldn't bother entering it daily, just set your calorie goal a bit higher. The amount it burns for your body to make the milk varies but it's usually estimated at 300-500 calories a day. I am eating an extra 300 more than I would have if I weren't BF. When my baby starts solid foods and actually starts decreasing her nursing I will probably slowly decrease my calories.0

Excellent way to burn off fat, and as many calories as you might at the gym, while comfortably snuggling your little one in a rocking chair! Enjoy the time, it goes way too fast.0

you add it as a food (a negative food), you can check out my diary if you want.
Exclusive breastfeeding, so a baby under 6 months and no supplementing should be about 500 extra a day..
older than 6 months and a baby that is eating a lot of food you can lower it to about 300...
and then toddlers you'll have to play around with, I nurse a 2 and half year old and I give myself about 200 to 300 a day.
It's really about how much your baby is nursing and how much you're producing. It burns a *kitten* ton of calories, but thats all up to how much you're nursing.
