I'm with fteale. You need carbs. Why not try cutting back rather than giving up.

Don't give them up all together this is VERY hard unless your are extremly dedicated to that kind of program. I am trying to stay under 100 grams a carbs a day right now and I find it challenging but I am still allowed to eat carbs. I usually have something whole grain in the morning and maybe something small with carbs at night but I try not to eat them after 5. Make sure you get a lot of protein & fat while you are doing this that will help with the craving. If your not eating as many carbs you need to replace them with something else, try some eggs with some cheese & spinach very satisfying & LOW CARB!

I struggle here too. Not necessarily in giving up carbs just staying away from the starchy ones (potatoes, pasta, rice etc).

You get carbs from all sorts of food so how about just cutting our potatoes to start, rather than removing completely?

You do need carbs to function, it's just about picking the right sources

I find it hard to cut back on carbs. I am also a diabetic, so this is VERY important for me to do. Frustrated!

I am on a low carb plan and when starting I found it VERY DIFFICULT to give up the carbs and to keep them at 20 grams per day. Now that I am farther in the plan I am eating a 100 grams of GOOD CARBS per day (such as brown rice instead of white, sweet potatoes instead of white, whole grain breads, fruit, veggies). It is hard at first but for me it's now easier since being on the plan for awhile and now I love how I feel ...all the energy!!
