Does the body gets the same energy from liquid food like juices or Milk or does solid food gives you more calories etc?

Yes liquid food can have just as much or more calories, liquid is more dense. Think honey peanut butter and milk blended together, very high cal in just a small glass!

I agree it's high calorie but does it process in the body in the same way, for example does it digest faster so is higher or lower in calories? I think I guess what Jonas CB23 is saying and had the same question. Is juicing fruit and veg a better way to consume calories than eating them raw or cooking them?

liquids can be quite calorie dense.

They are not awesome for weightloss but for the bulking crowd can be a great way to get the right response and enough calories in. Tread carefully with liquid cals if weightloss is your goal...

A banana has exactly the same number of calories once it has gone through a blender.

You may burn the world's smallest number of calories chewing the banana, vs swallowing it pulverized.

If you use a juicer, removing pulp removes some calories (fiber). However, no one eats 1 orange they juiced. That's a very small sip.

sure it can give you as much if not more (depending on what 'liquid' we are talking about.)

using smoothies- milk, soda's and beer (higher calorie drinks) to round out calories b/c of a bulk is common and normal. When trying to bulk the issue becomes calories- that aren't filling.

Vs weight loss- where you're looking for more filling options- that have fewer calories.
