If you have a couple hundred calories left over by the end of the day and you're hungry, eat some crisps. Or chips. Or cookies. Whatever you want. If you're already having this issue and feeling deprived after a week, you're not going to stick to your diet long enough for it to do you any good.

Popcorn is a good substitute for those of us that crave salty foods. Orville Redenbacher makes "Smart Pop" individual bags for 100 calories each. Salty, filling and you can almost always squeeze it into your day

Cheese wrapped in sandwich meat for about the same calories as a serving of crisps (150ish). Peanut butter and celery for a little bit more.
Or you could save calories for the things you want.

Yeah popcorn is good. Or you could bake your own sweet potato chips! I like rice cakes with peanut butter or nutella as a little treat. A handful of nuts (hehe) or pretzels maybe?

I don't know if you have these but que pasa makes a good tortilla chip, glueten free, lightly salted, stone ground, trans fat free and their great for a crunchy snack. 30 chips are 260 calories, goes nice with hummus or a homemade salsa.

If you have calories left over why not add to your evening meal so you feel fuller? What are you eating that's leaving you so hungry?

I usually have cereal for breakfast, bit of salad or a wholemeal sandwich for lunch (2 slices of bread) and something like chicken & rice or beans on toast ( no butter) for dinner

Well I'd be hungry too... Eat more protein and fat, less carbs (cereal and bread are a lot of calorie for not much in term of satiety).

I remember having a conversation with a bariatric dietician saying while I was eating relatively well, it seemed like I was still always hungry. She suggested upping the fiber intake.

I found these protein/fiber bars that I really like - they're about 95-110 calories, 10g fiber, 10g protein (all depending on the flavor you choose). They're Chocolite Protein Bars from www.healthsmartfoods.com. I really like the triple chocolate fudge, and hubby likes the cashew caramel or peanut butter. There are also coupons on www.retailmenot.com I have 1 or 2 a day, and it really helps.

I also get Special K Protein Water Mix - Pink Lemonade. Although I'm not sure that it's going to be around much longer. Some other sort of protein water may be a suitable replacement, and I'll likely start looking in the next few days for something to try.

    For what it's worth...

Banana + Few tablespoons of peanut butter + 1/2 cup Oats

It will keep you full for a long time.

Kale chips! I make them myself with a little olive oil and sea salt and bake them in the oven. So delicious!
