Help on stability ball sizing?

Hey guys, so, I want to get a stability ball to sit on (I have been recommended to do this for balance and muscle strength) and also maybe exercise with. But I'm having trouble figuring out the sizing.
I am a bit under 5'9", and I think my inseam was about 30-31" all the way to the floor last time I measured. I weigh about 240 lbs, and although I'll hopefully lose some of that, I'm not currently trying to get much below 200.
What size should I get? Is a 75cm going to be huge, or just right? How much do they compress, anyway?
I have never had one before, and I don't have a gym membership to go try one out there. I also don't have the money to buy multiple sizes if the first one is wrong. Help?

Search the internet for the guidance. I think it's based on height

Yeah. Everything I could find said "get it based on height, but if you're heavy or have short/long legs, maybe you'll need a different size". But I can't find anyone saying how to size for different weight to height ratios with actual numbers or testimonials from people around my size.
So it isn't being terribly helpful.

You may want to check out http://www.spine-health.com/wellness/exercise/choosing-right-exercise-ball. I am the opposite of you. I'm 5' tall so I use the smallest size.

I'm also 5'9" and mine (purchased as an adjunct to physical therapy years ago) is 65cm. I also work at Academy Sports + Outdoors and sell them, heh. 75cm is really only for people at least 6' or taller.

Well, sorry it took me so long to get back to this topic, my life got busy fast. I got a 65cm ball, blew it up to full inflation, and did the whole thing where you let it rest... and it was definitely too short for me. My knees are above my lap when I sit, and it doesn't feel very good to sit on. :( I guess I'll have to wait until I have a chance to sell this one, and get a bigger one.

How about raising it up by slipping something under it.
