My small victory...

So, I have to brag a little bit....This morning I weighed in, and I am only 3 pounds away from where I was when the mister and I started dating. Over the past 2 1/2 years, I have ballooned in weight over 200 pounds. I tried so hard to lose the weight through diet and exercise, instead of pills, shots, and gimmicks. I succeeded, I failed, and I had to experiment with myself to see what was working, and what wasn't. Unfortunately for me, I am getting older, and therefore my body and my metabolism is changing drastically. I have learned 2 things that are certainties; I will ALWAYS have to count my calories, and exercise will always be a necessary evil (kinda like going to the dentist). I am finally starting to wear my clothes that have been sitting in storage for the last 3 years, and I am tossing out my bigger stuff. Although this is definitely a victory for me, I am not through yet. I plan on working my butt off to lose another 20 pounds by June 1st. This will put me at the higher end of my BMI. My goal is to be healthy, stronger, and sexier for my mister! To be able to chase the grand babies, and push myself harder than I ever did in my 20's or 30's. 30 pounds down, 20 to go...Here is to a new year, and a healthier, more confidant me!!!
