I had the Dole Sunflower crunch salad for lunch today. But I used my own dressing. I cant find any way to log this.I assumed I would be able to find an entry for "Dole Sunflower Crunch- no dressing" and then I could just add my dressing. But nope! And I cant seem to find the calorie count for their dressing to subtract that from their general calorie count on the back of the bag. What should I do? I have no idea how to find the bacon amounts (or type) or the sunflower seeds.. or the type of lettuce/cabbage used, etc to log seperately

Quantify and measure the ingredients you put in, and if it is homogenous mixture, just subtract the total calorie count of ingredients by the measure of the portion you had. It requires you know how to do proportions and conversions, on a basic level, but thats about the only way to do it.
Of course, you can always guess something close. Browse the homemade dressings, not the name brands.

For the salad, just itemize the salad and estimate portion.
For the record, to eliminate this confusion, just make your own salad. Most Salad vegetables have negligible calories anyways, so that part really doesnt matter.0 -
Is this a bagged salad? If so, doesn't it have the nutrition information on the bag?
Edit:
I assume this is it http://www.dolesalads.com/Products/Chopped/Chopped-Sunflower-Crunch-Kit
Just use that information even if you used a different dressing. The difference probably won't be that big.0 -
This salad kit was my daughters. I was in a pinch today, so i tossed out the high calorie dressing and used my own low calorie one. So the meal itself was the "lettuce mix", some sunflower seeds and a little bacon bit thingies. But I dont know how much because I just dumped it all in and stirred. I used the kit, minus their dressing. The only thing I measured was my own dressing, so i could log it. I guess it might have been 2ish tablespoons of sunflower seeds and like a tablespoon of the bacon... Ill see what I can find on that. thanks0

Do you know what the dressing was that you tossed? Apparently you can do negatives, so you could log the whole thing, log the dressing as negative whatever it is, and then add your own dressing. It looks like there are some of the packaged kit dressings in the system.0

yea, the kit came with a package of its own dressing. I threw it out. But the bag doesnt have separate calorie listings for each part. For example: dressing: 320 calories, Sunflower seed 140 calories, etc. So i dont know how many calories to subtract for the dressing. It just says 180 calories for 3.5 oz (of the salad mixed with everything)
I used a lemon dressing that was 90 calories total0 -
The dressing is dole Sweet onion and citrus. I couldnt find calorie information on that either. Or Im the worst googler on the plantet lol0

I'm suggesting that the dressing on its own might be in the database if you can remember the name of it and if so you can subtract it out.0

It wasnt there0
