That is.. 10 pounds a month so.. 2,4 pounds a week..

That sounds tough, but you can definitely try to get close! It's not all about the exercise, but you'll have to cut down the calories you eat. Use MFP to get a good calorie goal set up for that amount of weight loss and stick to it. Do exercise as much as you can and eat back all the calories you exercise so you still get all the nutritients you need.

    Friend me if you like!

I am 5'3" also, and I have lost almost 40 lbs, but it has taken me 7 months to do so. Now, I didn't exercise for the first 4 or 5 months (dieting only). This is a slow but steady process. I think even if you can't make that goal, any weight loss would be great. You can do it!!!

I think you should focus on cardio and definately more than 20-30 minutes a day. MFP is a service and your body is the tool. I think if you focus on working out and eating right you should lose a few pounds. Of course there are extremes you can go to to make sure you lose the weight but I dont think that would be wise. I'm trying to lose as much as I can by the time my birthday comes around in June so I know how you feel. I'm just thinking about how much I need it so I'm amping up the workout and cutting down the calories. I think you can do it!

That's roughly twelve weeks? Meaning you would need to average a loss of 2.5 pounds each week, which is considered beyond healthy weight loss. it is possible, but that kind of weight loss is usually medically supervised, because it is difficult to get enough nutrients on a very low calorie intake. has your doctor/surgeon referred you to a dietician or nutritionist to work with? If not, I would seek out a referral ASAP. You will need careful guidance if you need to lose that amount in that time frame.

I think it's do-able if you follow Dukan, phase 1 of South Beach, or Paleo.
