Currently chocolate soy protein powder, 1/2 avocado, small banana mixed with water is my breakfast. Makes a nice thick creamy chocolaty smoothie. Surprisingly filling.
Would like to make a big green veg one for the mornings but I'm a bit limited with just having chocolate flavor protein in the house.0 -
Sounds nice!, does the protein powder help get you fit? I'm not currently using protein powder but thinking it may help?
That's what I am wanting to try a green blast! But not sure it would taste so great.
Do you only have one a day for you breakfast?0 -
I do a simple smoothie if I'm in a rush for breakfast, but not often because it doesn't seem to stay with me.
Banana
Bluebonnet Double acting Protein powder - French Vanilla
3/4 cups 2% lactaid milk
1 packet of Truvia0 -
Strawberry banana and low fat yoghurt, yum! And mango, pineapple, yoghurt and a bit of orange juice x0

I have been soaking 1/2 cup oats, 1tbs unsweetened cocoa powder and 1tsp cinnamon in 1 cup soy milk over night I'm the refrigerator (not necessary but softens oats) and freezing a banana. Blend it together in the morning. I freeze half and have it the next morning. It's kind of like a Mexican chocolate thing. I really like it0

Mix of frozen fruit in freezer, right now it's fuya persimmon and papya, add 1/2 fresh banana, 1/4 cup 2% milk, 1/2 portion of Tillamook vanilla bean yogurt ( or add more milk, vanilla if out of yogurt), some ice. Yum and so ooo healthy!0

this keeps me full for breakfast until my next snack or meal:
Unsweet Vanilla Almond Milk
Justin's almond butter
Banana
blackberries
I would like to use protein powder, but I have not found one that taste good and falls into the category of being low in sugar/sub.sugar/and bad fillers...any suggestions? So for now I use the Almond unsweet vanilla milk.0 -
I'm surprised to see some people put 1/2 avocado in a smoothie. That seems like a ton of calories to me, even though it has some health benefits. My smoothie is
1/4 cup dry old fashioned oats
Unsweetened vanilla almond milk
Organic protein powder
Frozen berries and
PB 2

A good protein powder is Terras Whey. They have organic choices and I think it tastes great. I'm currently using an organic hemp protein which is much less tasty but has more fiber.0

1 cup almond milk
1 tbsp. pb2
some ice
Good till lunch time0 -

I do not drink milk or anything creamy like yogurt and this keeps my full until lunch.
1 cup kale
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup frozen mangos
1/4 cup orange juice
2 tbls ground flax seed0 -
1 frozen banana
4-5 ice cubes
1 scoop Combat Birthday Cake protein powder
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract0 -
1/4 cup quick oats (I grind them in blender to make a powder before I add the rest of the ingredients and blend)
1/4 cup frozen blueberries

My mom and I have been using the green smoothie book, and I've finally tweaked my recipe where it works and is delicious!
2 handfuls greens (I use organic spinach and kale)
1.5 cups water
1 cup ice
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup frozen blueberries (sometimes I swap out for raspberries)
1/4 cup almond milk
1/2 cup protein powder (I use designer whey vanilla)
And a tsp of organic ground flax seed
This makes enough for two smoothies, but I've found if you half it it doesn't taste as good. So I put it in the fridge and ice it over for breakfast on day 2. Stay full and energized until lunch! (About 5 hours)

Mine at the moment:
4 oz plain greek yogurt
6 oz skim milk
100g banana
100g pineapple
140g frozen mixed fruit
30g baby spinach
100g celery
Protein powder increases your protein. It only "helps you get fit" in the same way that any other food does-- if it helps you meet your calorie/macro goals then it's helping you get fit. If it doesn't do either then it doesn't. I use Trutein-- tastes awesome.0 -
My favorite is:
2 cups organic spinach
1 banana
1tbsp peanut or almond butter
1 cup unsweetened almond milk0 -

1/2 avocado
1 Apple
Blueberries
Lemon juice
Vanilla Greek yogurt
Handful of spinach.
The avocado really contributes in keeping me full until lunchtime.
