Hi there,

Question: Why does myfitnesspal give me back 29 calories for 6000 steps one day but 110 calories for the same 6000 steps a different day? Shouldn't 6000 steps give me back the same amount of calories regardless of the day? Thanks!

Fitbit provides calorie data to MFP. not just steps. Fitbit differentiates running from walking and knows how fast you were stepping. If you look at your dashboard on Fitbit.com it should be clearer - until recently MFP didn't display the Fitbit steps only the calorie adjustment.
  • Ok, so the 6000 steps one day may have been slower steps that burned less calories than 6000 steps on another day that were faster paced?
