I started MFP 12 days ago and I am doing great at eating. I've lost 10.6 pounds so far of course its probably water. I'm not having problems choosing or portioning food out now its just the motivation to exercise in Winter as well as on my crazy work schedule mixed in with a 4 yr. old.
My body always is feeling tired even after I eat a hearty breakfast and in Alabama at the moment our days are extremely short so I'm at work in the daylight and at home when its dark. I'm looking for affordable jogging outfit to keep me warm and a reflector of some sort so I don't get ran over. Need friends for accountability and motivation.

  • Check out Alexa Jean Fitness on Facebook. I stumbled on her on Instagram same name. She has a lot I videos of exercises that you can do at home with no equipment.
  • That is so great that you have the food under control. That part is usually the hardest for most people. You have really got more than half the battle won!! I have terrible days where I snack way too much. Portion control can also be an issue.

As far as working out, it can be easy to skip it especially in the winter months (well, Alabama has to be warmer than where I am in Upstate NY - it is -3 right now! Having an accountability group can help! There are days when I totally feel like skipping my workout but I know that if I don't, my group will get on me!! I belong to a group right now that posts a weekly workout challenge for all its members (140+) as of today. We all cheer each other on and hold each other accountable - in a nice way :) FR me!

Hi I've just got myself a spinning bike and it's in front of the TV. So if you fancy something like that it's always there for you and there's no reason not to go on it. Plus it's safe and warm inside. Before you know it you could have been exercising for 30 minutes while watching your favourite programme.

I just moved to colder weather and the light and cold are not exactly motivating me to get up and out too often either. I DID just buy some expensive winter running gear rated for the temperatures I'm in ($60 thermal pants and a $120 hoodie - I didn't pay full price, but it wasn't cheap)...and that helps motivate me. First, I'm cheap, and I need to get my money's worth. Second, I'm vain, and I want to show off these cute things. Third, it honestly makes the workouts sooooooo much nicer. The technical clothes really DO make a big difference in my performance and how I feel about being out in weather.
