I just found this on a website and thought it would be helpful to some people. I'm not an expert...so I can't say this is positively absolutely correct....but if you don't have any other way to calculate calories burned, well this might help.
Calculate calories burned while exercising:
MET Value
The Compendium of Physical Activities Tracking Guide says working out on a treadmill has a MET value of 9.0. Using a ski machine has a MET value of 7.0. Circuit training, including aerobic exercises, has a MET value of 8.0.
Formula
METs is a number that represents your energy output while exercising. To calculate the number of calories burned while exercising use this formula: (METs x 3.5 x weight in kg) ÷ 200) x duration in minutes. To convert your weight to kilograms, divide your weight in pounds by 2.2. A 130-pound person weighs 59 kg.
Example:
Calories Burned
A 130-pound person burns between 145 and 186 calories during a 20-minute workout on the Gazelle Freestyle. A 30-minute, Gazelle Freestyle cross-country skiing workout burns 217 calories. Walking briskly on the Gazelle Freestyle for 25 minutes burns 232 calories.
