Hi guys! I'm new to MFP & really looking for some extra motivation and support to lose the weight that I need . I'm currently 20 years old & weigh 258 pounds.. I'm disgusted with myself. My goal weight is 180lbs by the end of this year & to be 240 by April (I have a special trip coming up but it's hard when I work 30 hours a week and go to college full time. I'm always afraid to do things because of my weight & I don't want to be like that anymore.

The first step is the most important! I know what you mean about not wanting to do things - I didn't go to my old co-ed gym for ages because I felt so insecure compared to everyone. Are you going to a gym or planning to do some home stuff?

I'm walking on a treadmill 3 days a week & trying to do some 30 day plans (pushups, situps, etc) on other days. We don't have a gym locally so I can't really do that!
