hey!

I just got out of the hospital January 12 2015 after being admitted January 8 2015 for having a small bowl obstruction. I had a tube up my nose and lost 10 pounds cuz I couldn't eat or drink anything for 4 days. I'm prone to this because when ii was a baby I was 3 months early and weighed 1 pounds 9 oz. I had a poop bag on me when I was a baby and ton of surgeries to my intestines and only have half of my small ones. I have a ton of scar tissue in my belly. Mom put me on a soft diet for 2 weeks per the doctors order. I have been good to the bathroom but not as much as I would like to see a good BM.

My background is is that I'm 32 years old and live with mom. Before the hospital I ate Everything and Anything I could see!!! Fast food......anything!!! I really don't want to be eating the wrong things. I have to set up a nutritionist probably today. I'm have learning disabilities also so thankful for auto correct. Help please? Friends?

    Just done low fiber for a short time with my partner for medical reasons - you have my sympathy if you have to do this long term - its really boring and hard to eat low cal. My recommendation - see that nutritionist, get as much info as you can. Take your Mum, get her to take notes. Eat as high fibre as you can without getting ill again, cos true low fiber limits you to such a small number of foods its boring as hell.
  • I wasn't going to do a low fiber diet forever. Mom says it's not good.
  • I'm going to the doctors cuz my belly isn't right. I hardly went to the bathroom since last morning and my belly is hard again.

    Functions of Fiber Foods:

    * Lowers the level of cholesterol

    * Lowers Triglycerides

    * Reduces the risk of colon cancer

    * Enhances the factor of weight loss

    * Improves Diabetes

    * Moves bowel

    What does Fiber do for your body ?

    * They would help you to lose weight as your body would easily flush toxins and other colon wastes

    * The dietary fiber moves stools at an accelerated pace through colon as carbohydrates are not allowed to absorb

    * Further the soluble component can easily attract, hold and collect cholesterol, move bowel and toxins

    * The dietary fibers can help you to avoid colon cancer as it can flush toxins from the intestines

    Seek advice from a registered dietitian. He/she should be able to advise what sort to foods to eat based on your medical condition.
  • I will. I'm going to be going to the Er to get more X-rays then go to the doctors so she can see if I need to be admitted again. Hope not!!!!!!!!!!!! This sucks.
