A bad attitude is self~debilitating... What are some thing you do to stay positive and motivated?

Well, whenever I do something healthy like workout or eat a healthy meal, I feel 10 lbs lighter, even if I haven't lost any weight. I just feel like I'm a truly healthy person, and the mindset gives me the energy to act as healthy as I feel.1

One of the first quotes a friend shared after I joined MFP was, "If you change nothing.....nothing changes." It seems pretty obvious but I like it because it holds us accountable for where we are. If we don't change our habits we'll be in the same place or worse tomorrow and the next day.1

1. I come to MFP and read Success Stories.
2. I tell myself that I'm doing this for my health/fitness first, vanity second.
3. I tell myself that I'm worth being healthy/fit and looking good.
4. I don't beat myself up when I slip off plan or choose to go off plan.
5. I track in MFP, but also maintain an Excel spreadsheet that allows me to visualize my progress better. I can make graphs with trend lines. I can do averages by week, month, etc. I get very motivated by the visual stuff. YMMV.
6. I support my pals on MFP by liking their posts, commenting, and sharing information & anecdotes when I feel I have something to add. I also enjoy getting support in return.
7. I peruse fitness magazines, websites, workouts, etc.
8. I read the forums here and try to keep an open mind to everyone's beliefs and styles of achieving health and fitness.1 -
You are the average of the 5 people you hangout with the most. Choose wisely...Only positive, self developed people will help and motivate you to get where you want to be in life!1

this is a battle for me as well, I try and stay upbeat and positive, but often I find people or situations bringing me down. So things I just don't understand why people have to be a certain way. I am not sure why I let other people bring me down, I much rather be around happy positive people that like to have fun.
I read the book don't sweat the small things, I enjoyed it and tok some good advice from it.
I enjoy working out and looking at peoples pictures that show great achievements.
I try and be a positive force for my friends here on MFP1 -
