Is it normal?

Hi guys, I hope to get a response to my question because I don't know where else I can post it.
I am a 20 years old,163 lbs, 6.0' , I have started going to the gym for two months and 2 weeks (started on November 2014), my question is lately I have been noticing that my right side of my body is more toned and slightly bigger, I know that there will be a difference between the two sides however the one I'm seeing here is more than usual, I have asked a trainer in the gym about it and he said it's because I've been working out relaying on my right side the whole time due to the fact that I'm right handed, and with time the difference will disappear if I focused during my workout on both sides and giving each even energy and time.
Hope to see a response or a helpful tips and recommendations from you or guide me to where I can get a satisfying answer.
P.S. My back is the most noticeable part, and I don't relay on the mirror to check but I tend o check using my hands to compare and measurements, also I asked some friends to check for me and they felt the differences between the two sides.
Thanks.

You mean like Reggie? Who only did lifting with one side of his body?

Your trainer is absolutely right, you'll naturally prefer your dominate hand and work out that side more, so ensuring your work out is balanced on each side of the body is important.
Having one side more toned than the other is extremely common, so there's nothing wrong with you at all, just listen to your trainer if symmetric perfection is what you want.0 -
What have always done is with single arm or leg exercises is start with my weak side first and then do the same amount of reps with my strong side even if i can rep out one or two more and its kept me balanced out pretty well0

Thank you guys for the feedback and hopefully I'll see changes in the upcoming months.0
