I have one of those *sweetheart* coworkers who refuses to stay home even though he's so sick that he has no voice. I woke up this morning with the sorest of throats.
I've been taking emergen-c. Any other suggestions?
Supplements or meal suggestions appreciated!

Cold fx? Echinacea ? I hear both are good for when you are starting to get a cold.0

UGH! That is the worst! I hate when people come to work sick.
I just take a ton of emergen-c and drink lots of hot tea.
Here is to you not getting sick!0 -
Cold FX, gargle with warm salt water (often), oil of oregano, and I'm a big believer in eating spicy and garlicky foods when sick. Feel better soon!0

I increase my vitamin C intake.0

Emergen-C and Zircam/Cold Eeze as soon as I have a sore throat.0

Zinc (Cold-Eeze). All the zinc. Have Claritin-D on hand (it keeps me functional, if totally wired, during the first worst days of a cold).0

It's not pleasant but chew and swallow a RAW clove of garlic. Garlic has powerful properties as a natural antibiotic and immune system booster, but in order to get the benefits, you have to chew it raw because that's where the benefits come from. When it's cooked it doesn't have the same benefits. I've fought off being sick a few times by doing this.0

Don't forget to drink a lot of liquids, dehydrating your body messes with immune system functioning. Make some tea, or just make sure to drink lots of extra water0
