Are the detox teas worth the money? And do they promote weight lose?

    So not worth the money. Weight loss is essentially calories in vs. calories out.

    I like the Yogi Detox, but I don't really buy it for the promise of detox but rather because I love the combination of herbs they use. I did notice that it helps my digestion a little though, which is nice.

    Just buy the teas yourself at a regular tea or herb shop. Very inexpensive and enjoyable, but I wouldn't worry too much about detoxing unless you're a drug addict :P

    No and no.

    Most detox products are a combination of mild diruetics and laxatives. i.e. they make you pee and poop. You'll just be losing water weight, which will come back as soon as you eat/drink something.

    Can't detox if there isn't any toxins in your body to begin with. Products like this are advertised so that people will feel like the money they spent is worth more than just buying some lipton teabags off the shelf.

    I "detox" every day in the bathroom. It's what your kidneys, liver, and intestines do. Save your money.
