my deficit is 3640 per week so in theory it should be just over a lb weight loss per week if my TDEE is in fact correct by MFP. i am netting 1200 -1300 per day and havnt seen a loss for 2 weeks. clearly something is not adding up.

Sometimes it takes a while - weight loss is not linear and we all have moments (weeks) when we don't lose. If you have also started up an exercise routine, this means you may be holding onto extra water and so not showing a loss. Give it time.

It's kind of hard to comment without seeing your diary. Are you weighing foods and logging consistently? You say you're netting so that means you're eating at least some of your exercise calories back. Where do the numbers come from? Many times, burns are overestimated, especially by cardio machines and overzealous personal trainers.

FYI, MFP doesn't use TDEE, it uses NEAT and then adds in whatever calories you earn for activity. If you want to use the TDEE-% method, you need to custom set your calories.

I didn't read the article but what it all comes down to is that weight loss isn't linear and a lot of the calculations we use aren't spot on, they're just best guess estimates. If you are doing everything right and not losing, it may be that your actual BMR/TDEE is lower than whatever calculator you used said it is. However, I'd wait at least 2 more weeks before changing anything. Often times, the whoosh effect kicks in and all of a sudden you'll see a drop in weight.

ahhh ok ... well i use a HRM so fairly accurate there i use average hr and calculate that way. i then use gross calorie burn and calculate net burn. my NEAT is around 1700 per day just a little over i think. my daily calories is set at 1200 and thats for a 1lb a week weight loss. MFP Wont give me 2lbs because i would be going too low which they dont recommend. my BMR Is calculated at 1350 i normally only eat half my exercise cals back and sometimes none at all so i guess sometimes i am really only getting 1000-1300 per day in total. i weigh everything that goes into my mouth im really zelous with it. i have started a new program today so im hoping it kickstarts things again. i just cant understand why things have gone wrong really. even with a slight deficit some weight should be lost and not none at all. to maintain mfp says 1700 calories is sufficient.
