Why are the daily sugar grams set so high? American Heart Association recommends only 25 grams of sugar a day, about 6 teaspoons.
How can I adjust what my daily recommendation is set at?

That's 25 grams of added sugar; it's not including naturally-found sugars in fruit0

Agree with malibu927. It's good to eat fruit, but it does push your sugar intake up. Unless you're diabetic or similar, those natural sugars are not harmful. It's the concentrated stuff like sugar, syrup, and honey that you have to watch out for.0

I wish there was a way to differentiate between naturally occurring sugars and added. Healthy fruits and veggies are so good for you. Of course you have to keep your sugar in take in mind. I just hate seeing when it goes red, but I know I did well.0
