Hello, I'm 19 yo I'm 5'11" and weigh 180lbs. I want to lose some weight so I can get fit and look good (if you know what I'm saying haha). And I wanted to know which exercises or routines will help mme reach my goal the fastest. My current goal is to get to 170 which I think wont be too hard but I honestly don't know where to begin. Any advice will be aappreciated.

A calorie deficit is what's important to losing weight. Make sure you're accurately logging your food. Do whatever exercises you feel like, including strength/resistance training to retain lean body mass. And it may not happen fast, especially for just ten pounds, so have patience.
  • Thank you for the reply but let me ask something else, is 1570 a day a good calorie deficit? Or should I go lower than that?

Calculate estimated maintenance needs for your regular activity levels, eat 10-20% below that, weigh and log all food, choose any beginner strength training program that suits your schedule, eat back exercise calories if you choose to estimate maintenance needs wtihout exercise included.

Hey man Im 19 and 6' so we are pretty similar. I totally know the feeling of wanting to look good(you know what). 170 is a good weight to shoot for but your gonna have to start hitting the weights man. In the last 6 months Ive been doing a program and put on about 13-15lbs of muscle so ill be ready for summer. If you wanna talk more about it let me know

1570 is going to be too low at your age/size. I eat 1600-2000 and lose. Set your goal to .5 pounds a week and eat what it says.
