So, I'm hungry, I finish work at 1.20 & have a hospital appointment at 1:45 3 miles away, somewhere in between I need to stop in a shop & grab something healthy for lunch. Any thoughts of what I can get that's quick, easy & in a shop (preferably Sainsbury's if that makes any difference?)

Thanks guys x

Well, I know its not the healthiest place, but when I am in a rush or just plain lazy, I have MCdonalds. I have a honey mustard snack wrap and a fruit and yogurt parfait. I ate it yesterday, LOL, so check my diary to see if that works for you nutrition wise.

I started carrying protein bars in my bag. Easy to eat, and no guilt. That way I don't over indulge . Think Thin bars are great, they don't have any sugar and have 20 grams of protein in them. A total meal replacement at around 250 calories each. The crunchy peanut butter is my favorite. It's like eating a Resee's peanut butter cup ( bonus ) and it's filling. Another bar I like is Clif builder bars...same 20 grams of protein... chocolate mint is delicious. Wasn't a fan of the idea of meal replacement bars, but it is really hard to find something on the run . Good luck.

how long are you likely to be in your appointment for? What about grabbing a cereal bar and some juice to keep you going and have something after?

Sainsbury's have some good options in the sandwich range- aside from sandwiches, also salads and sushi packs. Depending on where you live, some stock the "Fresh" range of vegetarian/organic sandwiches which are really good (also sold in Boots!)

If you are able to sit down and eat, the Jogn West Light Lunches are good- around 200 cals, 20-ish g protein (they are by tinned tuna, not the sandwich/to-go range) http://www.john-west.co.uk/products/light-lunch/ They come with a fork too
