When to change lifestyle setting

I have been going to the gym almost daily for a few weeks and I am a teacher. I only teach part time and am fairly sedentary the rest of the time so I chose "sedentary" for my activity level. I feel comfortable where I am right now, but at what point (if any) should I change that to "lightly active" from sedentary? Or should I just keep logging my exercise and leave it the same?

Comfortable not conforms.

Your activity level includes everything outside of exercise, which is why it's expected for you to log it. I would stick with sedentary, and if you feel like you're losing more quickly than you'd like, go up to lightly active (but keep logging your workouts).0

Thanks, that is exactly what I was looking for.0

Two choices: Either leave it as-is and log your workouts, or custom-set your goals using the TDEE method and don't log your workouts.
There are pros and cons to each. Do a search on this forum and you'll see lots of posts discussing it.0
