When to change lifestyle setting

I have been going to the gym almost daily for a few weeks and I am a teacher. I only teach part time and am fairly sedentary the rest of the time so I chose "sedentary" for my activity level. I feel comfortable where I am right now, but at what point (if any) should I change that to "lightly active" from sedentary? Or should I just keep logging my exercise and leave it the same?

Your activity level includes everything outside of exercise, which is why it's expected for you to log it. I would stick with sedentary, and if you feel like you're losing more quickly than you'd like, go up to lightly active (but keep logging your workouts).

Two choices: Either leave it as-is and log your workouts, or custom-set your goals using the TDEE method and don't log your workouts.

There are pros and cons to each. Do a search on this forum and you'll see lots of posts discussing it.
