Hello! My total fat goal according to this app is 42. I know I should watch trans fats for sure!.. Like my goal is zero. Now my saturated fats (which sometimes come from healthy things such as coconut oil) is 16 grams which i try to stick to as best I can. Here is my question.. As long as I am watching my trans and saturated, is it ok to go over poly sat and mono sat? I weigh 118 and my calorie goal is 1600. I don't eat nuts and avocados everyday, but if I do go over I just want to make sure that could not cause any weight gain.

You can set your goals as you please, so I don't really think there should be a problem. As long as you don't exceed your calorie level for maintenance, you won't gain weight.0

To answer your question, if you were to avoid any fat, it would be the trans variety. Nothing is inherently bad about saturated fat. If you don't eat seafood with any sort of regularity, a fish oil supplement wouldn't be a bad option.0
