Can't lose the last 1kg!

I've hit a plateau since October with just 1kg to lose. I've lost 14kg so far (I weigh 56kg now), am eating at 1300kcal and have a fairly busy lifestyle. I dropped to 1200kcal for two weeks and the weight didn't budge, I was just grumpy all the time.
How do I shift my last kilogram? Eat less? Exercise more?

Eat 1300, but make sure you are weighing your food and logging every bite.

Maybe you need a mental and physical break for a few weeks? Try eating at maintenance for a few weeks and try again

    Why would 1kg matter?

    Every kg counts.

1kg is a water weight fluctuation

I got fat because I tolerated a 1kg weight gain at a time because "it's just 1kg so it's ok". Of course it matters.

It's not. It never "fluctuates" to my goal weight so it's not water.

    I think that's a good idea, thanks :)

    fine

set your loss at 0.5lb / 0.2kg a week to give you a 250 calorie defecit a day

And make sure you weigh and log everything - refocus to make sure it's as exact as possible

Only eat back 50% of exercise calories

Give yourself a range of weight to be happy with as you will find weight does fluctuate (even if you don't think it does now). As you are 1kg from your goal, you should be eating more and not less, and the weight loss should be taking a while (especially if your goal is on the lower end of a healthy weight). I have a goal weight but I'm going to try to stay w/in a range that includes that weight (at the bottom).
