Losing Weight

ive been trying to lose weight for the longest time. And I just feel like I've hit a plateau. I know my nutrition is something I need to work on. But it just seems so complicated. I've heard so many different stories. Making sure you eat carbs for energy. Making sure you cut carbs or else you'll gain weight. Having lots of protein for muscle repair. It's pretty frustrating I must admit. I'm trying to lower my caloric intake, yet when I feel hungry, I try to refrain myself from eating because I don't want to go over on my calories. But then again, I can't tell if my body is going into starvation mode because of that. And it's not like I'm not eating the right things. I'm eating often and I'm eating healthy. But my metabolism has increased so I'm hungry more than I used to be. Well, whatever needs to happen, hopefully I start seeing results.

If your daily calorie goal is set to something reasonable (a 250-500 calorie daily deficit, taking into account your activity level) you'll start losing weight again.

Well based off of the app. My intake should be 1900 if I'm sedentary. Although I'm working out, I just put sedentary as my activity level so if I DONT work out, I wanted to know how much calories I'd need to have in order to lose weight. Since I am working out, I'd be burning more than normal since the calculations are based off of me not working out at all.

You're really over complicating things. Read the sexy pants link.

One thing at a time. The most important thing is to be tracking accurately. Weigh your foods. Log it all. That is 90% of the battle. If you open your diary to the public people can give you suggestions relevant to your situation.

    Caloric Deficit is your friend.

    Nothing more. Nothing less.

It is both necessary, and sufficient.

All else is opinion, preference, personal taste, BroScience, Myth and WooWoo.
