Burning calories when lifting

I'm just curious if anyone else has figured out how to make this app acknowledge how many calories you burned for weight lifting? I put in all of my lifting exercises and it doesn't give me any credit for them. Only the cardio training acknowledges what you burned during a workout. Help please!

If you search weight lifting under cardiovascular exercise, it will come up with Strength Training (weight lifting) and calculate a random number for you. However don't live and breathe by that number because there are so many variables, I don't think there's any way it's accurate.0

You may find this helpful. Pretty comprehensive list of how many calories different forms of exercise burn

On the Web version, navigate to EXERCISE > Exercise Diary > Cardiovascular > Add Exercise.
Search for "Strength Training" - without the quotes.
Click on Strength Training and enter desired number of minutes in the "How Long?" field.
Click Add Exercise.
The official explanation is in the MFP Help pages...

Oh cool thanks!0

You can log it under cardio if you must...but there are way too many variables involved with anaerobic training like weight lifting for any database to be accurate....take that number with a massive grain of salt.0
