My deficit is set to 500 to lose one pound a week on both MFP and on fitbit. I have my weight and height the same, etc. MFP says i can eat 1480 a day. I have it set to sedentary and then i often eat about half of my activity calories back. FITBIT gives me an estimate of over 1800 for the day. Is there a way to make them match up? I am new to fitbit so maybe i am missing something?

Have you synced the two apps? That way they can exchange information and work together. I have the Jawbone UP, and have my UP app synced with MFP. If I walk more than about 6,000 steps in a day MFP automatically adds extra calories to my goal.0
