Sodium

After tracking my food for the past week, I came to the conclusion that I am taking in way too much sodium. When I think about some of my physical issues, it makes so much sense! But now I see it in text and realize I have to figure out how to get that number down.

Any resources or tips to share?

Cook at home a few meals a week. Canned and packaged food has lots of sodium. Even frozen meats often have lots of sodium.

    Eat clean
  • Get some lite salt or Nosalt to help if you really want to reduce it.
It tastes about the same, especially in cooking, and you get some much-needed potassium.
Can get it at your local grocery store no problem.
  • Also, avoid fast food and packaged, processed food like the plague.
Read labels. You'd be amazed at what is carrying around a load of salt.
And you'd be amazed at what's carrying around a load of sugar. Even stuff that doesn't taste sweet.
