Hi all
I'm new to MFP - although apparently I had an account set up from ages ago, who knew?!
Although I'm new here I'm certainly not new to the world of trying to lose weight. I'm hoping this will be the beginning of a new chapter. I quit smoking two weeks ago and I started at the gym at the same time.
I'm looking forward to meeting all of you. Let's stay motivated today

Well done giving up smoking, I started again after stopping for 2 yrs, I started just having a couple with a drink and before I knew it I was buying 10.a day!!!
Do you find you want to snack more when you crave a smoke?? X

Yes although I can't really blame quitting as I've had an issue with managing food correctly for years. I think with not smoking it's trying to ease the gnawing feeling. I joined the gym to aid getting healthier and I haven't gained weight during the two weeks. It's time to focus on the food now too in an effort to shift these lbs0
