Hi, I will turn 30 in May and up until today I have lost a total of 35 lbs. Everyday is a different page to this journey but as much as I want this I lose motivation and am not happy with the way I look. I have three kids and a husband so I know I did something right. So if you could please tell me how you are enjoying your journeys it would really help me. Thanks

I love the energy and stamina my husband and I have gained on our health journeys. Both in the bedroom and out! I recently hit the spot where I can easily double my hiking/walking distance (from 4-5 miles without a rest to 10 or more!) and that is a triumphant place to be.

I'm maintaining these days, but I felt satisfied as I lost weight (215 ➔ 150 pounds). I was already quite active, but it was nice to be able to take up running again and to be able to climb hills faster on my bike.

I think it helps not to think of this as a "journey," though, because journeys have destinations. Once you reach your goal weight, you'll need to continue the same lifestyle to maintain it. And I found that once I was within ten pounds of my final weight goal, the weight became much less important than body composition, health, and fitness. Weight is easy to measure, but it is a relatively poor metric for assessing health.

Thank you everyone who wrote something. Bwogilvie you said journeys have ends so I am now looking at this as an adventure because they don't necessarily have endings. I just have to feel comfortable in my new body and forget what everyone else says.
