Hi,
I did the Bill Phillips Body for Life program 10 years ago with the best success I've ever had. I lost 45lbs...Now I'm back to almost where I started and need motivation to get back on it.
Is there anyone out there that is doing that program with success? It seems like an old program now but I liked it when I was on it...I wish I never quit.
Thanks!
Jessie

Yes, I have! As mr. Phillips says in his book it is about a life change. If you are eating the way he describes you really need to be doing the exercises to help use up those calories.
But the BFL program is more about learning you and your body. He has just layed it out for us normal folks to have a plan and routine. Also do not get too concerned about the details of the plan. Just eat clean lean protiens, complex carbs, plenty of veggies and plenty of water. Keep the metabolism up with frequent "meals" and get some excersise. He layed out his excersise program to make it attainable for most people by making it short but HIGHLY effective.
Are there better methods for sports and competition? YES. But for John and Jane doe I feel this is by far the best program and information available. I also feel P90X and like programs are very good for useful strength.
I am a construction worker with a love for outdoor activities so I want a need a strong flexible body that will allow me to continue physical activities with my children for a long time, BFL will do that.
- remember it's about a health you
- don't worry about crossing T's and dotting I's just eat healthy and balanced
- this is a "class"'to learn how to take care of your body.
-.never compare to the success pictures in that book, the individuals here are the norm, and much more "real" look for YOUR perfection.
- your goal should be functional strength and endurance NO extremes.
- also a healthy lifestyle never ends.
- and treat yourself smartly once a week!
I hope this helps. I say go for it and enjoy the new you!!!!0 -
