if I were to eat healthy and do my best not to eat too much junk food and fat and do Pilates for an excercise will that result in weight loss? Or will I have to do cardio because I feel like when i do Pilates im building more muscle than losing calories

You need to both have a calorie deficit and burn calories exercising in order to lose weight. I do pilates once or twice a week, but the calorie "burn" is only between 90-100 calories for between 30-40 minutes for an average sized woman. Pilates are great for strengthening and toning the core, but I consider them a moderate strength training rather than a fat-burning exercise. Toning your core is good for you because it both strengthens your abs and protects your lower back, but I would recommend cardio and heavier strength training if you want exercise that will burn calories.0

I do Pilates on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays. I dance everyday but Sunday and Friday on top of whatever else I do. But I do the ecliptical for at least an hour every Monday and Friday to get some aerobic excerise in because dance and Pilates is mostly anaerobic/0
