low carb?

Hello!
So this is my third time trying losing weight, although I lose successfully 30lbs 3 years ago but gained it back plus more after two years of mental health issues. I'm pass that time in my life and I want my body to match. When I lost the weight the first time I just didn't eat over my allowance but ate whatever. I feel as though thats the reason I was 30 lbs lighter but still have a huge stomach. I carry a lot of weight around my stomach and face and I'm already pre diabetic so its literally now or never and I'm very motivated.
I heard that low-carb diets helped with burning fat and I just wanted to know if anyone knew if this was true? I cannot afford a nutritionist so online is my only resource at the moment. I tried eating low carb anyways but I find it so hard. What foods have low carbs? I find myself going over even when I try to eat the cleanest and adding more produce than other food items.
Thanks!

why not just reduce over all calories? carbs are tasty and good for you0

also weigh your food on scales forget about this clean rubbish.
You can still over eat on chicken sweet potato and broccoli... Very easy might i add0 -
Log what you are eating every day for three days.
Then access where you can cut back.
(Every type of food is available to you. What counts is the amount of food.)0 -
Welcome!
Excellent advice above. It's not necessary to cut carbs, just eat at a calorie deficit and you will lose weight.0 -

That's very true. Idk I guess all these new fads are getting to me. Make me feel so inadequate when I'm not eating the latest and greatest organic stuff
