How do you add friends?

i am having trouble with adding friends I'm not sure how to do it please help!!!

    Options
    click onto peoples names and go to their profile and select add friend. Or it should be a little icon by your inbox icon, if you are talking about accepting friend requests. Man I'm terrible at giving directions by the way, good luck with working that out lmao

    I can't work this out either it flashes the name then does nothing.. I'm confused????
