According to my scales I have only lost 0.2lbs this week; however I am trying again tomorrow as I can feel fluid on my knee.
This is an overview of the last weeks calorie intake and nutrition, I'm a consistently under goals despite Friday being a bad day. I got pissed off an binged a little.
The first 2 weeks of my diet I lost 7lbs, and 3 1/2 weeks in I'm only on 8.5lbs loss. I have lost a total of 5.3 inches off my waist and 2 inches off my hips.
Exercise - Some days I am very active and can do 8000 steps in a morning, other days I don't walk so far but I use a stationary bike and strengthening exercises most days. Average steps per day in the last week 4605 (I forgot my pedometer on one day) my job involves working with horses 10 -16 hours a week so while walking round I am mucking out stables, grooming etc
I exercise on my bike at least twice a week and ride the horses at least once a week for 45 minutes.
MFP fitness goal is 1760 a day.
According to IIFYM my BMR is 1710 calories a day
TDEE if I had a desk job and did nothing is 2052
TDEE for exercising 3 times a week which I think is more accurate 2351
Am I really eating too many calories?

since when is losing 8.5lb in 3 weeks a BAD thing?!0

That does seem like a good weight loss to me. I guess it doesn't feel that way because it isn't a couple of pound a week but give it time. Your body has some adjusting to do. Keep going, accurately log your food, drink loads and it will happen.0

It came off so quickly but has stalled already.0 -

It feels as if it has stalled already but I am less than 4 weeks in, didn't really think it would need time to adjust.
I lost 2 stone 3 years ago but then I didn't exercise as much.0 -

it hasnt stalled, you've just had a week when you havent lost much. weight fluctuates for LOADS of reasons, as long as its a downward trend, which it is, you're fine. dont over think it.0 -

Adjust your expectations

Can`t see your diary to see how you've set up your profile but your net daily intake is around 1500 which sounds good. However it depends how the target has been set. Have you set your profile as active and are you then adding the riding/mucking out etc. as extra exercise. If your goal has been set expecting you to do this sort of activity then only additional exercise such as time on the bike should be added.
But overall don`t get down because the first 2 weeks were fantastic and now it`s slowed down. You`re still losing at 1lb a week which is bang on target for the normal goal and 5 inches off the waist has got to feel good. I`ve lost 6 lb in the first two and half weeks and only 1 inch off the waist.
Carry on as you are..0 -
Your rate of loss is actually fairly aggressive (more than 2 lbs per week). You can't expect it to come off in an exactly even fashion-- bodies are a little more complex than that. So no, you're not eating too many calories.0

My profile is set to lightly active, I only include riding and bike work as exercise as mucking out is just part of my job.
I also do 60 squats, 20 crunches, 40 bicep curls, 40 tricep pull downs etc on days that I use my bike.0 -
You aren't stalling.........the first two weeks you lost mostly water anyway. A loss every week no matter how small is a major achievement in my book.0

agreed. if anything you could aim to hit your calorie goal instead of being 1000 cals under, and you'll still lose weight!0 -
when did you do your weigh in compared to when you binged?0

Weighed myself this morning, binge was on Friday but was still 1100 calories under for that week x0 -
8.5 pounds in 3 weeks is better than 2 pounds a week. Certainly nothing to get discouraged over. You are still losing weight at an extremely good rate (faster even than your goal is set for)…you're just getting worried because it isn't coming off in even increments. Our bodies do that sometimes. They don't really have a concept of time… so it won't always match your perception.
And btw… You still lost. It's not a stall.0
