I'm loking for some motivation. What weight were you at different pants sizes? How tall are you? Where do you carry your weight?

I'll start, I'm 5'10.5 and 247 I wear an 18. At 270 I wore a 20. In the misty period before that (weight up to 315) I wore a 22,24, and 26. I carry my weight in my stomach booty and thighs.

what about you?

I'm 6' and 220 right now. I'm wearing a very loose 18, should probably go pants shopping. At my highest, around 250-270 I was wearing a 22. Most of my weight is pretty evenly distributed, but I can be "hippy".

I'm 5'10" and am currently 195 lbs and wearing a size 16. At my goal weight (about 150) I'll be a size 12. I can never get lower than that; I have a large frame.

I'm 5'9, and I've found it takes at least 15lbs for me to change a whole pant size :( On the plus side, that makes me the kind of person who everyone waaaay underestimates how much I weigh.

Currently 174, and my size 6 pants are far too snug to be comfortably worn. I'll fit into them fine at 165. 150-155 is a size 4 for me.

    I'm 5' 9.5". At my heaviest, 267, I wore an 18. I needed to lose a lot to move down one size...I couldn't wear 16's until I was about 240.

Now, at 180, size 10's generally fit the best. And I seem to need to lose less to move down a size (I read there is less difference between sizes the smaller they get). I can squeeze into some 8s, but in a few brands I need a 12. But I carry more of my weight in the abdomen and upper body, so I am a larger size in shirts...a large now vs. 2xl or 3xl at my heaviest.

I'm 5'10" and currently about 164 in a size 10. I started at around 210 and size 16 or 18, depending. The 18s were too big and the 16s were too tight! Back then I'd wear whatever as long as they didn't cut me, but now I get to be picky and worry more about how long they are versus how big around they are! Yay! I'm aiming for a size 8 but I think that's about as hard as I want to work. ;)

I'm 5'7" (not too tall but taller than average) and wear a size 14 pants at 200lbs. My heaviest was 215 and a size 16-18, so I'm guessing it will take about 15lbs per size. the issue with my weight/height is that I have a LOT of muscle so I don't know what to expect when I lose "weight." I'm thinking I'll lose size rather than lbs the longer I go, so I'm estimating I'll be a size 10-12 at my goal weight of 170.

Keep in mind that sizes over a 12 have much larger jumps in inches. Let's say the difference between an 8 and a 10 in pants may be 1" in the waist, where as the difference between a 14 and a 16 is usually 1 1/2". I found that when I was a size 14 or 16 it took a lot more weight loss to get down a size, BUT once you get down to the 'misses' size range losing weight tends to slow down quite a bit, so that can also be discouraging. I'm 5'9" and weight 177 now, size 12. When I'm down to 160-165 I'm usually a 10, and 145-150, an 8. It's so hard to lose weight after 40!!

I'm about 6'0", ~260 lbs. I only have 16s, but rhey do fit awkwardly, so 18s are probably better.

5'10". Heaviest weight was 275, size 24. Currently 260ish size 20 (in pants). I carry my weight mostly in my hips, booty and thighs. I am 1-2 sizes smaller for shirts, but the arms sometimes cause me trouble. The bicep area can be too tight, and the sleeves too short :/
At my lightest, about 212, I was almost a comfortable size 16, but not quite ;)
Goal weight is 175, and I don't think that with my frame I will ever be under a size 12.

    I'm a tad over 5'8". I'm 202 lbs, and in a size 10. When I was 175 lbs, I wore a 7/8.
My heaviest was 255 lbs and I was in a size 16. Size M-L in shirts. I carry most of my weight in my thighs, arms/shoulders and chest.

I'm 5'10.5, and was 204 at my heaviest, which was a tight 15/weird fitting 14. I'm 165 now and wearing size 10 jeans, or a loose 13. I have a small frame, with narrow hips, and carry my weight around my middle. Used to carry a lot in my chest too, but have lost a lot of that. When I get down to 140ish, I'll be in a 6 or 8, depending.

I am 5'10" at 252 pounds. I am currently wearing 24… but they are getting a bit loose. I haven't gone shopping yet to see which size I will really fit. I'm expecting to be able to wear a 20 by the time I go pants shopping… but who knows what weight that will be? (In order to save myself as much money as possible… I wait until it gets ridiculous before I buy new) I carry my weight on my stomach mostly.

You might find yourself even in a 6 - to give you glimpse into the future. I think we may have the same shape since I was a TIGHT 14 at 193. At 150 I was a happy, comfy 6. Good luck, hun. I'm proof that it can happen.

Wow look at all you lucky tall people! I'm 5'1" I am hourglass shape so I gain on top on, on bottom, in the middle, everywhere! ;). Heaviest 165 tight in a size 12. Lowest I can remember 138, size 7/8. Working on getting back there!! Incorporate some lifting and cardio and that can make a big difference in pant size but not show up on the scale. One year I did the insanity DVDs and didn't lose a single pound but lost 13 inches and a dress size!

    Definitely think you'll be smaller than a 10 at 150. I'm 5'7", 170 and wear a 10. I'm pretty pear-shaped, too.
